Basic structure Cpu & Control Unit

CPU: Basic Structure

CPU diagram

There are 3 parts:
  • Control Unit, used to control the operation of the CPU and control the computer as a totality.
  • Arithmetic Logic Unit (ALU), serves to establish a computer data processing functions.
  • Register, serves as an internal storage for the CPU.

There are 3 parts:
  • Squencing Logic, is the part that serves to handle the control signals, such as signals: Clock, Read / Write, Interrupt Request.
  • Register and Decoder, is the part that serves to "decoding" or translating code instruction to be executed immediately.
    • Control Memory is the part that is used by the Control Unit to store the parameters of control parameters.
